Brianna is a music-loving journalist and producer from Toronto who’s worked for both of Canada’s national newspapers and all three radio services of its national broadcaster. She is currently traveling the world and freelancing-- last year found her in the Caribbean, and this year she relocated to Abuja, Nigeria.
The lady loves (loves!) to write and make radio about things like banjos and obscure historical topics. But she's also been known to report on hard news and current events, sports, fashion, real estate, celebrity culture, community interest, fine arts, book publishing, travel and technology.
Her print work has appeared in The Globe and Mail, The National Post, The Ottawa Citizen, The Montreal Gazette, The Calgary Herald, The Edmonton Journal and other Postmedia Network papers across Canada.
Brianna's radio work has been broadcast on CBC Radio One, Radio 2, and Radio 3.
And her blogging work has been e-published at The Hindsight Letters, CBC Radio 2's official blog, Brianna Frets Close To The Equator, and other sites.
When not scribbling or scripting, she likes to write fiction, read (she recently finished War and Peace!), play her many musical instruments, go for cross-country runs, and periodically, maniacally, check the status of her Wikipedia entry. But that's a whole other story...
